Storage Unit Rentals
Whether you’re storing personal belongings, household items, or business inventory, renting a self-storage unit gives you a secure place to keep your things until you need them again. The unit size you need depends on what you are storing and how much of it there is, and our team is here to help you land on the right one the first time.
Storage units can hold anything from a few boxes to the contents of an entire home, a full load of business inventory, or even a motorcycle. At Protec Storage, we know no two moves look the same, which is why we carry a wide range of unit sizes so you only pay for the space you actually need.
People come to us for a lot of different reasons, and each one calls for a slightly different approach:
- Downsizing to a smaller home: Give yourself room to sort through belongings gradually instead of deciding the fate of every item before moving day. A unit lets you hang onto what you are unsure about while you settle in.
- Decluttering without giving things up: Seasonal decorations, off-season clothing, and gear you use a few times a year all take up closet space you could use for something else.
- University students heading home or into a co-op term: A smaller unit is usually plenty for a dorm room or shared rental worth of belongings, and short-term, month-to-month terms mean you are not locked into a lease that outlasts your school year.
If you are not sure what size unit fits your situation, reach out to our storage specialists. We would rather help you choose the right size up front than have you pay for space you do not need or come back in a month for something bigger.
Choose from a Range of Storage Unit Sizes
Before recommending a size, our storage specialists will help you take stock of what you are planning to store. Once you know the type and amount of space you need, you can reserve a unit and move in whenever you are ready. Our team is available during extended office hours to help you make the right call.
We carry units ranging from 25 square feet up to 300 square feet, so there is room for a single closet’s worth of boxes or the contents of a multi-bedroom home. A general rule worth keeping in mind: if you plan to visit your unit often, size up slightly so you have room for an aisle between your stacked items, rather than packing the space wall to wall.
Need help narrowing it down? Below is our unit size guide to help you match your space to your needs, whether that is a compact 5×5 for seasonal items or a larger unit for a full household.
